Circling Europe SAS at MAPLE

MAPLE represents something extraordinary–a residential community where people do long-term, monastic-style practice as they train to become community mindfulness teachers.

MAPLE brings together the best of two worlds: an intensive training environment combined with a systematic, fully modern version of mindfulness.

Shinzen Young

Mindfulness Expert Teacher

In my time at MAPLE, the drive to be better hasn’t disappeared (if anything, it’s stronger) but the unhelpful franticness has faded. I’ve been managing to tap into a calmness which is both restful and invigorating. The change has been gradual, and I hadn’t even realized how much had changed until I stopped to reflect towards the end of my two-month stay and realized how much more grounded and invigorated and happy I was.

Burlington Sunday Sit

We gather weekly on Sundays at the Quaker Meeting House in Burlington, VT. From 5-7 PM, Soryu or other residents and teachers give a talk followed by guided meditation and community Q&A. Get a feel for our community and practice through our extensive library of previous talks on YouTube and SoundCloud.

All our events are offered on a by-donation basis. We suggest a donation of $10 for this offering.

You can see all of the past recorded events including the Sunday Sits on our YouTube channel or SoundCloud page.

Some members of the  community are very sensitive to the synthetic fragrance found in products like shampoos, soaps, detergent, and fabric softener. Please be fragrance-free when visiting us, and at all our events – learn how here.
