We ask that guests are punctual and arrive early for all the activities that they attend.

Coworking Guest

  • Bring your own work and do it remotely from the monastery
  • Participate in the morning and evening meditation schedule, and work flexibly on your own projects during the day
  • One-on-one mindfulness training and support with the head teacher 
  • Great for teams or individuals—take your whole team on a retreat and get even more done than in the office!

Service Guest

  • Best option for guests looking to experience life at MAPLE and to get a sense of the community, for any length of time that works for you
  • Contribute to the monastery’s day-to-day tasks while maintaining your mindfulness practice
  • Participate in the morning and evening meditation schedule and feel free to join in for any other planned activities—Circling, workshops, dharma talks, etc.
  • One-on-one mindfulness training and support with the head teacher daily
  • Two hearty vegan meals and a comfortable room provided

In my time at MAPLE, the drive to be better hasn’t disappeared (if anything, it’s stronger) but the unhelpful franticness has faded. Burlington Sunday Sit

We gather weekly on Sundays at the Quaker Meeting House in Burlington, VT. From 5-7 PM, Soryu or other residents adn teachers give a talk followed by guided meditation and community Q&A. Get a feel for our community and practice through our extensive library of previous talks on Youtube and Soundcloud.

All CML events are offered on a by-donation basis. We suggest a donation of $10 for this offering.

Some members of the CML community are very sensitive to the synthetic fragrance found in products like shampoos, soaps, detergent, and fabric softener. Please be fragrance-free when visiting CML, and at all CML events – learn how here.
